Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Calendar Sync, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
Calendar Sync is operated by Rover Engineering Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 15090964; registered office: c/o Dafferns LLP, One Eastwood, Harry Weston Road, Coventry CV3 2UB). In these Terms of Use, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Rover Engineering Limited.
Description of Service
Calendar Sync is a calendar synchronization service that allows you to:
- Synchronize busy times between multiple Google Calendar accounts
- Create placeholder events on target calendars to prevent double-booking
- Configure custom sync rules with filtering options
- Monitor sync history and status
The service is currently hosted on our servers. While Calendar Sync can be deployed as a self-hosted solution for enterprise use, the current deployment provides secure hosting with full data isolation between users.
User Accounts and Authentication
To use Calendar Sync, you must:
- Sign in with a valid Google account using Google OAuth
- Grant Calendar Sync permission to access your Google Calendar data
- Maintain the security of your authentication credentials
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Calendar Sync only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Use. You agree NOT to:
- Use the service to violate any laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the service
- Use the service to transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
- Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
- Use the service to violate the privacy or rights of others
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
User Responsibilities
As a user of Calendar Sync, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have proper authorization to access and sync the calendars you configure
- Configuring sync rules appropriately to avoid unintended event creation
- Monitoring your sync history to ensure proper operation
- Maintaining backups of your data and configurations
- Complying with Google's Terms of Service and API usage policies
- Respecting the privacy and permissions of calendar owners
Service Availability
Calendar Sync is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be available at all times or without interruption
- The service will be error-free or free from defects
- All calendar synchronizations will be completed successfully
- The service will meet your specific requirements
Service availability depends on various factors including your infrastructure, network connectivity, and Google Calendar API availability. We are not responsible for any downtime or service interruptions.
Intellectual Property
The Calendar Sync software, including its design, code, documentation, and all related materials, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the software in accordance with its license terms, but you may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the software without authorization
- Remove or alter any copyright notices
- Use the software for commercial purposes without proper licensing
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CALENDAR SYNC AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or your data
- Any errors or omissions in the service
- Any interruption or cessation of the service
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code
- Any loss or damage resulting from calendar synchronization
You acknowledge that you use the service at your own risk and that you are responsible for backing up your data and verifying synchronization results.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Calendar Sync and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms of Use
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
Termination
You may terminate your use of Calendar Sync at any time by:
- Deleting your account through the application interface
- Revoking calendar access through Google Account settings
- Stopping the application service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms of Use.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Calendar Sync after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms of Use.
If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
Note for enterprise deployments: Calendar Sync can be deployed as a self-hosted solution for enterprise customers. In such cases, the governing law may depend on your organization's location and hosting arrangements. Enterprise customers should consult with legal counsel to determine the appropriate jurisdiction for their deployment.
